Common Materials

Select the right metal by application performance and cost — engineering plastics and special alloys available on request.

Aluminum 5052 / 6061 Cold-Rolled Steel (CRS) Hot-Rolled Steel (HRS) Stainless 304 / 316 Copper / Brass Galvanized / Galvalume

How to Choose Materials

  • Aluminum: light, rust-resistant, easy to form — ideal for enclosures and brackets
  • Stainless: corrosion-resistant, high strength — for food, medical and outdoor use
  • Steel: cost-efficient, versatile — for structural parts and volume production
  • Copper / Brass: excellent conductivity — for electrical connectors

Capabilities

Sheet Metal Fabrication Capabilities

Covering the most common foundational processes — cutting, bending, stamping, welding and surface finishing — formed precisely to your drawings.

Laser Cutting

Fiber laser high-precision blanking for aluminum, stainless, carbon steel and more — clean edges, small heat-affected zone, ideal for complex profiles and fast low-volume prototyping.

Tolerance ±0.1 mm

CNC Bending

Multi-axis CNC press brake forming with flexible V- and U-bends. Controlled inner radii ensure consistent angles and stable dimensions across the run.

Up to 2500 mm

Stamping

Professional stamping design and production — blanking, piercing, drawing and progressive dies in one setup — cost-effective for medium-to-high volume with repeated hole patterns.

Prototype → Production

Welding & Joining

Resistance welding, TIG and MIG welding, plus riveting and fastener installation for strong assemblies and structural connections.

MIG / TIG / Riveting

Surface Finishing

Powder coating, anodizing, plating, chem film and more — balancing corrosion resistance, wear and appearance, with custom colors available.

Frequently Asked Questions

The most common sheet metal processes include cutting (laser, stamping, shearing), bending &forming (CNC press brake), stamping (blanking, piercing, drawing), welding & joining (resistance,TIG/MIG, riveting) and surface finishing (powder coating, anodizing, plating). Changye provides thefull flow from blanking to assembled delivery.

Please prepare CAD drawings (e.g. DWG/DXF/STEP) or a clear product image, and specify material, thickness, quantity, surface finish and lead time. The more complete the data, the faster and more accurate the quote. Submit via the form at the bottom of the page and our engineering team will reply within 1–2 business days.

We routinely support aluminum (5052/6061), cold-rolled steel, hot-rolled steel, stainless (304/316), copper/brass and galvanized sheet, with material thickness roughly 0.5–6.0 mm. Special alloys or engineering plastics can be taken on after engineering review.

Standard laser cut tolerance is about ±0.1 mm; bend angle and dimensions are controlled by tooling and material thickness. The minimum inner bend radius is generally no less than 1× material thickness to avoid cracking. Tighter tolerances can be reached through process optimization after review, but over-tight specs raise cost — we recommend tolerances based on actual use.

We support everything from single prototypes to medium-to-high volume production, with no hard minimum order quantity. Prototypes are typically delivered in 5–7 days; volume lead times are assessed by quantity and process complexity. With a flexible line and standardized process, unit cost drops as volume rises.

We offer powder coating (custom colors, wear- and corrosion-resistant), anodizing (mostly aluminum, can be colored), plating (e.g. zinc, nickel), chem film and more. Choose powder/anodize for decorative needs and plating/chem film for functional corrosion resistance — details can be discussed with our engineering team.

Can you provide one-stop service from tooling to finished parts?

Yes. Changye runs a dedicated stamping design and production team delivering one-stop metal manufacturing — from tooling design, stamping and machining through welding, surface finishing to assembly and after-sales. This reduces multi-supplier coordination and improves consistency and lead-time reliability.
